🎶 Sábado, 14 de março
Das 15h às 20h celebramos uma Festa de Aniversário — uma tarde de convívio entre amigos. Poderemos não ter lugares sentados, mas o café continuará a funcionar ao balcão e a livraria estará funcional, como sempre.
À noite, das 20h às 22h, regressa o Live Music Saturdays com Bruna Antunes & Henry Aguirre para mais um serão de música ao vivo.

📚 Domingo, 15 de março – 15h
O Open Book Club volta a reunir leitores para uma conversa aberta sobre livros, ideias e descobertas literárias.

Três momentos diferentes, a mesma casa para quem gosta de cultura, encontros e boas histórias.

🎶 Saturday, March 14
From 3pm to 8pm we celebrate a Birthday Party — an afternoon of gathering among friends. There may not be seated places available, but the café will continue operating at the counter and the bookshop will remain open as usual.
In the evening, from 8pm to 10pm, Live Music Saturdays returns with Bruna Antunes & Henry Aguirre for another night of live music.

📚 Sunday, March 15 – 3pm
The Open Book Club gathers readers once again for an open conversation about books, ideas, and literary discoveries.

Three different moments, the same house for those who enjoy culture, encounters, and good stories.

Hoje, dia 6 de março, estamos fechados por um mot

Hoje, dia 6 de março, estamos fechados por um motivo muito especial: o nosso Owlie mais pequenino faz 2 anos!

Vocês que nos acompanham já começam a conhecer-nos: somos um pequeno projeto familiar. Somos dois (três aos sábados) e apenas uma pessoa trabalha a tempo inteiro na Story Owl. Por agora, enquanto ainda somos pequeninos, temos de tomar estas decisões difíceis — mas muito importantes para nós.

E o pequeno L. merece.

Podem desejar um feliz segundo aniversário a este boneco que foi o beta-tester das casinhas (e dos livros) do espaço infantil da Story Owl e que, por vezes, ainda aparece para fazer a manutenção.

🇬🇧 Today, March 6, we are closed for a very special reason: our smallest Owlie is turning 2 years old!

Those of you who follow us are already starting to know us: we are a small family project. There are two of us (three on Saturdays), and only one person works full-time at Story Owl. For now, while we are still small, we sometimes have to make these difficult decisions — but they are very important to us.

And little L. deserves it.

You can wish a happy second birthday to this little fellow who was the beta tester of the little houses (and the books) in the Story Owl children’s area and who, from time to time, still shows up to do some maintenance.

See you tomorrow!

Hoje não celebramos apenas um aniversário. Celebramos energia em estado puro.

O Manuel/André não fundou a Story Owl necessariamente por amor aos livros. Fundou-a por amor à ideia. À experiência. À possibilidade de transformar um espaço numa narrativa viva. É visionário, é criativo, e sobretudo — precisa de palco. E ainda bem.

É ele quem puxa pelo público, quem arrisca formatos improváveis, quem decide que um evento não pode ser apenas “bom” — tem de ser memorável. Onde há microfone, há presença. Onde há silêncio, ele cria ritmo. Onde há pessoas, ele cria momento.

A Story Owl não seria o que é sem essa vontade constante de fazer diferente, de provocar reação, de ser centro gravitacional das atenções.

Hoje celebramos quem prefere aplausos a marcadores de página.
Feliz aniversário ao co-fundador que transforma cada evento numa história impossível de ignorar.

No domingo passado, assinalámos a metade entre o Solstício de inverno e o Equinócio de Primavera com o nosso workshop de Imbolc.

Foi uma tarde deliciosa em que criámos dois projetos com as nossas mãos, honrando a deusa Brigid. Que esta fase de plantar sementes nos traga muita Criatividade e Saúde, tanto a nós como à Natureza.

Obrigada por se terem juntado a nós numa tarde tão escura e chuvosa, mas agora já sabem: segundo o folklore Celta, um dia “feio” no Imbolc, significa que o resto do inverno será brando 🙏 aguentemos firmes as próximas tempestades. A primavera vai chegar. 🌼

Last Sunday, we marked the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox with our Imbolc workshop.

It was a lovely afternoon: we made two projects with our own hands, honouring the goddess Brigid. May this season of planting seeds bring plenty of Creativity and Health—to us, and to Nature too.

Thank you for joining us on such a dark, rainy day. But now you know: according to Celtic folklore, a ‘bad’ day on Imbolc means the rest of the winter will be mild. Let’s hold steady through the next storms. Spring is coming.
